Weekend in the country....well almost country.

We spent the last weekend in a gorgeous little cottage nestled in the hills in Mundaring. Beautiful location and a great place for our girls weekend with lots of food, drinks, more food and of course great company. Thanks to Claire for our delicious home cooked meal......yum!! And for coming to see us all, all the way from Karratha.
We stayed at Jarrah Creek B & B www.jarrahcreek.com check it out, it's well worth a look.

 

 Had a look around Mundaring on Saturday morning and of course had to pop into my favourite op shop run by the local Anglican church. You have to be prepared to rummage, which of course is a skill that I have well developed!! I always come away from this little op shop with loads of bargains and treasures. It's well worth a drive up Greenmount Hill.

Now back to reality and to start preparing for our next Vintage Life Market which is on again this coming Sunday, 26th September in the lovely Darlington Hall. Check out all the details here www.vintagelifemarket.com.au

Vintage Life Market

Well, what a fabulous day Sunday was.
Indigo Jones, along with about 25 other wonderful stall holders attended the first ever Vintage Life Market in Darlington.
It was an early start but the drive through the beautiful tree lined streets of Darlington made it truly worth it. The weather was glorious and saw lots of people venturing to the hills for a great day out. About 700 people came to check out the market and the eclectic array of new, vintage, retro and recycled clothes, homewares and wonderful handmade jewelry and accessories. 
We sold an array of our creations, made some lovely new friends, did a bit of networking and received lots of encouraging and very useful feedback from stall holders and customers. All in all it was a great day and we will do it all again in September. A big thank you also to all our family and friends who came to support us, we really appreciate it.

To market, to market.......

Indigo Jones is very excited to be a part of a wonderful new vintage market in the hills. We will  be at the new Vintage Life Market being held in Darlington on Sunday 29th August.

We'll be selling a selection of our beautiful items that we create from vintage/recycled fabrics, buttons and children's books. Our range includes brooches made from vintage fabrics, buttons and domino's, bracelets created using vintage and recycled buttons and cards and framed pictures, both made using vintage children's books. We'll also have a lovely selection of vintage clothes, shoes and accessories so please pop in and say hello.

Our very first post....

Well here we go.... Seems like it has taken us forever to get this up and running what with the distractions of work, children, husbands and of course Op-Shopping!!!!

As I sit typing Denise is madly sorting through our latest find, a wonderful collection of vintage buttons bought from a lady Denise met on one of her many Op-Shopping jaunts.
Once diveed out (with Denise trying to hog all of them!!!) we will turn them into beautiful one-off bracelets and brooches to sell at our next markets.
